'HOW ARE YOU FEELING?'

January 14th - February 2nd 2023

“'How are you feeling?' is a group exhibition focused on self expression for mental health awareness. This exhibition was inspired by the community canvas out front of Mindful back in September where strangers can write and read anonymously about what’s going on in each other’s lives, each color corresponding to a specific feeling. Join us as we welcome 6 artists from different backgrounds to share their journey of self expression and invite the community to once again write on a blank canvas to let us know 'How are you feeling?'"

'LOS VECINOS'

'LOS VECINOS'

Novemeber 12th, 2022 - January 12th, 2023

"In honor of Spanish Heritage Month, 'Los Vecinos' explores the work of two Latino artists from the Bronx, Branden Rodriguez, and Jefte Castillo. Two young kids who were once neighbors from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic come together to commemorate their love for their culture. In their first-ever collaboration, Branden and Jefte bring these stories in a span of 10 canvas installations. Their work aims to highlight the resilience, unity, and beauty of Latinx culture narrated through art in a mixed medium format."

'GROWING PAINS'

September 10th - November 10th, 2022

"Going into art, Khilali knew she always wanted to advocate for mental health. In her first series of paintings, Khilali took a more direct form of imagery in regards to showcasing mental health illnesses. As she learned more about what it means to be an advocate, as well as growing interpersonally, Khilali realized that mental health is not so cut and dry. Many symptoms and feelings intertwine with one another, and those symptoms and feelings may not be specific to one illness exclusively.
This exhibition showcases Khilali’s growth and journey to finding herself as an artist and as an advocate alike, by expressing her own feelings and helping others to not feel so alone in their daily struggles."
